Meet the MCEU Partner: Hosco

Organisational Profile, Role and Contribution in the MCEU-Hospitality Project
Hosco is an international hospitality talent network connecting professionals, employers, and educational institutions worldwide. With strong digital outreach and deep industry integration, Hosco brings labour market intelligence and employer engagement to the MCEU consortium.

Within the MCEU Hospitality project, Hosco serves as the Lead Beneficiary for Work Package 2 (WP2), Ecosystem for Skills, and contributes to course development and dissemination activities.

Lead Role – WP2: Ecosystem for Skills
As the leader of WP2, Hosco is responsible for building the evidence base underpinning the entire MCEU methodology. The work package focuses on identifying skills shortages and emerging competence needs within the European hospitality sector.

Hosco leads the design of the survey methodology and stakeholder mapping process, ensuring representation from employers, employees, vocational institutions, and policymakers. Through large-scale digital surveys and structured qualitative interviews, Hosco gathers quantitative and qualitative data from thousands of stakeholders across Europe.

The collected data is analysed to identify skills gaps, assess the recognition of micro-credentials within the industry, and explore how micro-credentials can be integrated into existing company training structures and national systems. The outcomes are consolidated into comprehensive reports that directly inform the development of the micro-credentials in WP3.

Through this work, Hosco ensures that MCEU micro-credentials are demand-driven and rooted in verified labour market needs.

Contribution to WP3 – Development of Micro-Credentials

Hosco contributes industry validation and employer insight during the course development phase. By providing feedback on selected skill areas and labour market relevance, Hosco ensures that the final courses reflect operational realities and respond to employer expectations.

Contribution to WP6 – Communication and Dissemination
Hosco supports dissemination by promoting project activities through its hospitality network, encouraging participation in surveys and presenting project outcomes at industry events. This strengthens sector recognition and uptake.

Summary of Hosco’s Organisational Responsibilities
Hosco anchors the MCEU project in labour market reality. Through structured skills intelligence, employer engagement, and sector outreach, Hosco ensures that the micro-credentials respond to real industry needs and gain recognition among stakeholders.
